Emily in Sweet Violet
Oyster coloured Bias-cut silk wedding gown and cool lace cape veil
Emily fell for our bias-cut silk beauty Sweet Violet, opting to change the colour of the luxurious heavyweight silk-satin to oyster (our studio sample is a pale silver shade). She loved our cape veils too, and we played around with various options in the studio, before deciding on a front length that sat lower than usual – just at the right level so as not to compress the dress’s cowl front beneath it.
Emily added a stunning metal headpiece made for her by one of her jeweller friends – Emily is a jeweller too – which finished her look off perfectly.
A relaxed, friend-focused celebration
After exchanging their vows at Sheffield Town Hall, Emily and Nile celebrated at nearby Hideaway – a restored industrial building with a lovely, relaxed ambience. After speeches and food, this pair spent the evening with friends on the dancefloor.

“I just wanted to say a huge thank you for crafting my beautiful wedding dress. From the first fitting to the final, your warmth and friendliness made the whole process smooth and enjoyable. I loved our random chats before every fitting.
I can’t count the number of compliments I received on the day and Nile cried (which I think is a good thing!). I felt confident, radiant and comfortable. I’m looking for an excuse to wear it again.”
