Issy in Angelica
Subtle sequins and silk for an effortlessly chic wedding day look
Issy came along to our Sample Sale and left her appointment undecided, but with Angelica as a firm favourite. Mid-way through my next appointment, she called and asked if I could go ahead with Angelica – her mum had asked her how she’d feel if someone else bought the dress, and the thought of losing it made her realise how much she loved it.
We made some alterations to Issy’s Angelica to get a closer fit – shortening the sequinned top a little at the waist, bringing in the sides and adding in an extra couple of buttons to tighten up the V back above the skirt. We also re-hemmed the silk-satin skirt at the front and blended through the side seams to create a petite train. The final look was effortlessly chic and stylish – the combination of subtly shimmering sequins and sand-washed silk-satin is hard to beat.
Celebrations and excellent food at Sheffield’s Victoria
Issy and Ryan had their ceremony and reception at Victoria – Sheffield’s latest lovingly restored events space, created by the couple behind The Mowbray and The Chimney House. The team excel at enhancing all the finer details on the day, and great food is a central part of the experience – super important for Issy who also works in hospitality.
They kept the vibe relaxed and full of fun all day long, with evening entertainment provided downstairs by a band they’d discovered and loved on a trip to Ireland.
