FLORENCE in sweet violet

A cowl front bias-cut silk wedding gown and cape for this relaxed, double venue Sheffield wedding

Florence loved how she felt in our bias-cut silk-satin gowns, but the sweeping cowl neck of Sweet Violet was the one that eventually stole her heart. She preferred the oyster-coloured silk-satin that we use on Honeysuckle, so we made an oyster Sweet Violet just for her.

One of our cowl back capes was the perfect addition, echoing the cowl shape at the front of the dress but in a sheer and ethereal fashion. Florence added a pair of silver and pearl Blue Meadow Ivy earrings from our accessories edit, and some star inspired hairpins that she sourced herself.

A fun-filled, quirky warehouse wedding with tons of personality

Florence and Tom had their wedding ceremony at the gorgeous Upper Chapel in Sheffield – a bit of a hidden gem with a beautifully atmospheric interior. After exchanging vows they headed from the city centre to Peddler Warehouse in Kelham Island – an industrial blank canvas venue that can be styled in a host of different ways. These two created different zones there – for eating and drinking, dancing and relaxing – along with a temporary tattoo station, and well-stocked crisp wall for anyone in need of a quick snack. A limbo competition, beer ping pong, and giant pass the pigs kept guests entertained, and everyone took part in a collaborative shuffle dance too – basically a lot of fun was had by all involved!

And thank you again for the wonderful dress - I felt very glamorous and got a lot of compliments.
