Reena in Sweet Violet
Elegant bias-cut silk wedding gown and personalised embroidered veil
Reena was a dream to work with, such a kind and gentle soul. She looked wonderful in everything she tried on, and settled on our elegant bias-cut cowl-neck beauty Sweet Violet, opting to keep the three silk finishes we used on our Curve sample - satin for the cowl top, georgette on the sleeves and marocain on the skirt.
Reena loved the embroidered veils by Daisy Sheldon that we have in the studio, and I put her in touch with Daisy to have something bespoke created. Reena chose a golden-honey coloured tulle, and Daisy included the names of Reena’s parents in the design. Both her parents have sadly passed away, and this was such a beautiful way to honour them.
Emotional, heartfelt celebration with personality and colour in iconic Sheffield venues
Reena and Michael were married at Millennium Gallery in Sheffield, with a heartfelt ceremony and candles lit for her parents. Pops of bright colour lit up the minimal gallery space, with tones of reds, yellows and oranges in Reena’s bouquet, her bridesmaids’ gowns, and on the fabric draped triangular ceremony arch. Portraits taken outside the iconic brutalist Park Hill Flats echo the same colour palette.
Their reception took place at Kelham Island Museum - another Sheffield icon. Personal touches and emotional speeches made this a real celebration to remember.

“Kate made a very overwhelming experience feel totally calm and so special. Her gowns were the first ones I tried on, and I’m so glad I visited her showroom first! I ended up choosing the very first one I tried (Sweet Violet) because of how lovely the experience of working with her was. And, of course, how exquisite the gown was! I couldn’t recommend her enough.”
