After shooting our dreamy new collection at stunning Aswarby Rectory at the end of April, I was keen to update the imagery for the rest of our dresses and separates.

Alongside every new collection I tend to retire a few of the older gowns (keep an eye out for another Sample Sale coming soon) and having trimmed down the range to contain just our absolute favourites, it seemed like the perfect time to shoot them all together as one big, beautiful Icons collection!

Shooting our Icons – our bestselling wedding dresses and bridal separates – in two dress sizes

Several of our Icons exist in two sizes – we created some of our best-selling styles in a size 18 and shot a Curve Lookbook a few years ago – and I wanted to be able to show both sizes side by side. When we created our Curve dresses we reimagined a few of the design details, changing a neckline or a sleeve to show how small tweaks to a dress’s design could make a big difference, and this was a great opportunity to see those subtle changes more clearly.

I chose two fantastic models Montanna and Kara to wear my designs, and they did an amazing job working together. Montanna wears our size 16-18 gowns and separates, and Kara wears our size 10-12 pieces. All the designs that we have in two sizes were shot side by side and then separately too, and we added in styling options with different veils, capes, skirts, tops and belts to show the versatility of these dresses.

Photographer India Hobson captured the light and the movement of the dresses perfectly as always, and Laura Taff did a wonderful job on hair and make-up. Swallows and Damsons created a series of gorgeous meadow pieces that we could shoot in front of and behind, and we kept the rest of our backdrops simple and consistent so the whole gallery of images worked beautifully together.

I’m so happy with these new images – it’s a joy to see these designs presented together as our Icons and given a fresh new look. Looking forward to making more of these dresses and separates for brides for many more years to come.
