On the 13th of this month James and I will have been married for 3 years, and on the 13th of next month we'll have been together for 10.
Last month I loaned photographer Shelley Richmond a few wedding dresses for a commercial photoshoot she was working on.
‘We are nearer to Spring
Than we were in September,’
I heard a bird sing
In the dark of December.
After she photographed the wedding of one of my brides – Rebecca – in Leeds earlier this year, photographer Rebecca Tovey got in touch about an autumnal styled shoot she was planning, along with a group of twenty or so young photographers. When I saw the moodboards they had produced to plan out the look of the day, I was very keen indeed to be involved!
Super wedding snapper Jon Dennis of S6 Photography ran a photography workshop a couple of weeks ago, and borrowed one of my wedding dresses for the gorgeous Grace to model for his students.
I've been lucky enough to meet some incredible local wedding suppliers over the last year. So when I wanted to create some beautiful images to showcase my dresses for my website, I managed to secure some rather fabulous help.
So this is my first ever blog post – scary! I thought I'd start with a little bit of background on why I started making wedding dresses.
